Booking terms
Last updated 3 November 2026
These terms apply when you book a session at Bandicoot Studios, order a mix & master, and use your member hub. They're written to be clear and fair. Please read them before you pay your deposit. Nothing in them affects your legal rights as a consumer.
1. About these terms
Bandicoot Studios is run by Dan Hulse trading as Bandicoot Studios (“we”, “us”), 23 Cunningham Hill Road. When you pay your deposit, you're agreeing to these terms and we're agreeing to provide your session or mix & master. You can contact us at bandicootrecordings@gmail.com.
2. Booking and your deposit
- Choose your session length, day and start time, then pay a 50% deposit online on Stripe's secure checkout, by card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or any other method shown there. Your booking is confirmed once the deposit is paid, and we'll email you a confirmation.
- While you're paying, we hold your slot for a short time. If payment isn't completed, the slot is released and nothing is charged.
- Sessions can be booked up to 12 months ahead, with at least 4 hours' notice, for between 2 and 12 hours.
- You must be 18 or over to book. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must book for you.
- Please give accurate contact details so we can reach you about your session.
3. Prices and paying the balance
- Sessions are currently £50 per hour. The price you see when you book is the total for your session, and it won't change after you've booked.
- The remaining 50% (the balance) is due on the day of your session, before or at the start, unless we've agreed otherwise.
- Free loyalty sessions have nothing to pay.
4. Mix & master orders
- Signed-in members can order a mix & master from the Mix & master tab in their hub. It's currently £200 per song for both mixing and mastering. The price you see at checkout is the total for each song.
- You pay a 50% deposit when you check out. Your order is confirmed once it's paid, and we'll email you a receipt.
- When your master is ready we'll email you, and the remaining 50% is paid from your member hub. Your finished files are shown in your hub straight away but unlock to play and download once paid in full.
- Please upload the right files (a full song or properly labelled stems) and tell us anything we should know in your notes. If the files can't be used, we'll contact you before starting.
- We'll give you an idea of timing when we start. If you have a deadline, tell us in your notes before you pay. If you aren't happy with your mix, tell us and we'll work with you to put it right. If you want big changes beyond your original notes, we'll agree any extra cost with you first.
- Your right to cancel: you can cancel a mix & master order within 14 days of paying the deposit. At checkout you tick a box asking us to start work straight away. If you cancel before we've started, you get a full refund. If we have already started, we may keep a fair amount for the work done, up to the deposit. Once your master is finished and delivered, the order can no longer be cancelled.
- How to cancel: tell us clearly that you want to cancel, by email to bandicootrecordings@gmail.com or by post to 23 Cunningham Hill Road. You can use the model cancellation form below, but you don't have to. We'll refund what's due within 14 days, to the card you paid with.
- If we can't complete your order, you get a full refund of everything you've paid for it.
5. Discount codes
- Discount codes are entered when you book or check out. Only one code can be used per booking or checkout, and it must be entered before you pay. Codes can't be added afterwards.
- Each code may only work for sessions, for mix & master, or both. It may also have an expiry date or a limit on how many times it can be used. If it can't be used, we'll tell you before you pay.
- Codes have no cash value, can't be exchanged, and we may withdraw a code at any time. A code you've already used on a paid booking or order is still honoured.
- If you get a refund on a discounted booking or order, the refund is based on what you actually paid.
6. Cancellations, changes and refunds
A 50% deposit secures your session. Cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before your session for a full deposit refund; later cancellations forfeit the deposit.
- To cancel or move your session, contact us as early as you can at bandicootrecordings@gmail.com.
- Studio sessions are booked for a specific date and time, so the 14-day “cooling-off” right for online purchases doesn't apply to them (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 28(1)(b)). The policy above applies instead.
- If you don't turn up without telling us, your deposit is kept, as that time could have gone to someone else.
- If you arrive late, your session still finishes at the booked time so the next booking isn't affected.
- If we have to cancel or can't provide your session, you can choose a new time or a full refund of everything you've paid.
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within 5–10 working days.
7. Your session
- Please treat the studio, equipment and other people with respect. You're responsible for damage you or your guests cause deliberately or through carelessness.
- We may end a session early, without a refund, if someone behaves in a way that's unsafe, abusive or illegal.
- Please keep the number of guests reasonable and let us know in advance if you're bringing any.
8. Your music and files
- You own your music. Your songs, lyrics, beats, recordings and stems stay yours. We only use them to prepare for and run your session, to mix and master your songs, and to deliver your files.
- By uploading or bringing material, you confirm you have the right to use it, for example that any beat you use is properly licensed.
- Once a mix & master is paid in full, you're free to release and use it however you like.
- If Bandi contributes to a track beyond engineering (for example as a producer or co-writer), any credits or royalty shares will be agreed with you separately, in writing.
- We'll never publish or share your music without your permission, including for promoting the studio.
9. Your member hub
- Each client can create one member account, linked to the email they booked with. Keep your password private; you're responsible for activity on your account.
- Files we deliver stay in your hub so you can stream or download them. Please also keep your own copies: we take care of your files, but we can't guarantee they'll be available forever.
- Mix & master files unlock in your hub once the order is paid in full.
- If an account is closed, we'll give you notice so you can download your files first. See our privacy notice for how long we keep things.
10. Loyalty scheme
- You earn a stamp for every completed session of 3 hours or more. Cancelled sessions, no-shows and free sessions don't earn stamps.
- Collect 5 stamps for a free 2-hour session, booked through your member hub and subject to availability. Cancelling a free session returns it to your card.
- Stamps and free sessions have no cash value and can't be transferred to someone else.
- We may change or end the scheme with reasonable notice. Stamps you've already earned will be honoured.
11. Our responsibility to you
- We'll provide your session or mix & master with reasonable care and skill. If we don't, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result of our failure.
- We aren't responsible for business losses (such as lost income or opportunities), or for delays caused by events outside our control. If that happens, we'll offer a new time or a refund.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in place when you booked or ordered applies to that booking or order.
